I’ve been sick for the last week or so—like viral sick (I think it’s just a cold, but both my kids now have strep, so pray for me I guess?) I’m working on a longer post about being sick when you’re Sick, which I’ll hopefully have ready next week (see previous parens re: strep). In the meantime, instead of writing, I’ve been digitally altering vintage illustrations shared by a bot on Bluesky.
I’ve done a few of these over the last couple of months here and there, but this week in (more than usual) bed has really fired up my nonsense juices. I’m not sure if these are actually funny to anyone but me, but I don’t really care. I’m making myself laugh, which is no small thing.
How do you entertain yourself when you’re sick? What silly things does no one find funny but you? Would you buy these if they were postcards? I hope so, because I’m making them into postcards.
